Herbert Scott Davis grew up in the historic Ybor City in Tampa, developing an early passion for culture and art. He graduated from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and worked as a freelance illustrator. Davis now focuses on fine art projects detailing his way through abstract imagery for walls and canvases. He says, “Abstract art is like a book. You study it and read it and try to figure out what is going on.”

Davis has always had a passion for art, and he can draw, paint, sketch and sculpt, with an affinity for working with pastels, acrylics and wall sculptures. “I try to keep it affordable,” he says. Davis was a featured artist in the 48th annual Art Harvest, which is a Junior League signature event in Clearwater and Dunedin.

Davis has a goal of getting viewers to look at his work with an open mind and find their own meaning, knowing that no interpretation is wrong or right. “Art is an important part of our lives,” he said. “We need to have some way to see above all the clutter.”
